Current Church Planting Needs
Have you asked God if He would have you partner with us in planting a new church in the Grand Valley of beautiful western Colorado?
God is bringing people to the Valley on a steady basis. As newcomers come to the Valley two things need to happen. Our existing Colorado Baptist churches need to creatively reach out in the name of our blessed Savior and Lord. As we proclaim His love for all peoples, we need to show and tell these new residents that Jesus loves them! Additionally, Grand Valley Baptists need to start new churches to show and tell these new residents that our God loves them, too. Our existing Grand Valley Baptist churches can't possibly hold 10% of the peoples that the Father has brought and will continue to bring to western Colorado in the next few years. Led by the Lord, if we don't plan for this growth, we will miss out on what God wants us to experience in Him! Kingdom growth is all about Him! We are privileged to be considered worthy by Him to be partners with Him in this process of Kingdom building. We plant and water, but we need never forget that ONLY God gives the increase. However, if we refuse to plant the precious and powerful seed of God's Word, if we refuse to water where it has been planted, and if we fail to begin new churches to target the unreached population segments, will there be a harvest ? Consider this your personal invitation to join 3000+ Colorado Baptists living in the Grand Valley in this God sized process!

The next Basic Training for Church Planters is scheduled February 2010. This three day training event is free but is required for all Church Planters in the Grand Valley. > Families specifically called of God to start churches;
> Families gifted to serve as pastor/leaders of a new church plant; and
> Families gifted to work another job and serve as support families working alongside and partnering with a pastor/leader in a new church plant.

Here are some of our current needs:
- Looking for a godly family with a strong family relationship who are gifted of God specifically to start a new church. This family must be gifted relationally, entrepreneurial, cross-cultural, flexible and willing to work bi-vocationally initially in order to plant a church in a ministry field with unlimited opportunities. This community is a rapidly growing community of 500 to 600 new (since 2002) homes and only one other evangelical church in the community. It is only 15 miles from a major metropolitan and shopping area in western Colorado. Temperatures are mild in this part of Colorado. A “needs survey” conducted by volunteers in this field revealed persons of peace and substantial interest. The field has been tilled through prayer walking by two groups. Partnering churches are being enlisted for this church planting project. Training in church planting skills, supervision, mentoring and coaching by experienced church planters are a vital part of this church planting project. A church planter network, where the church planter and his wife meet regularly with their peers, is a part of the accountability process available to church planter families in order to help insure a sustainable church plant and a successful church planting experience for the right God called family.

- Looking for a godly family with a strong family relationship who thrive in the outdoors: love to hunt and/or fish, raft, snow ski, hike, cycle and/or snow mobile. Also, this family must be gifted relationally, entrepreneurial, cross-cultural, flexible and willing to work bi-vocationally and/or bring substantial financial support initially in order to plant a church in a ministry field with great opportunities. This community is one of the fastest growing communities in western Colorado. This field has been tilled through prayer walking. Training in church planting skills and strategies, supervision by a skilled church planter, mentoring and coaching in skill sets which are necessary to successful church planting are a vital part of this church planting project. A church planter network, where the church planter and his wife meet regularly with their peers, is a part of the accountability process available to our church planter families in order to help insure a sustainable church plant and a successful church planting experience for the right God called family.

- Looking for the right godly college graduate, clearly called of the Father to Christian ministry and genuinely interested in church planting as a possible calling. This person must meet qualifications as a US-2 missionary and must be willing to live on a small stipend for two years in order to work in the harvest field of western Colorado, while assisting our church planter families and learning practical field driven church planting skills.

- Looking for the right godly interns willing to work in partnership with house church leaders in developing two house church networks in western Colorado. Must be willing to learn simple (house) church skills from one of the best. These God called individuals must be willing to provide for their own incomes through using their energies, talents and skills in working in a non-house church job, while partnering with house church leaders in developing house church networks.
